I probably would not run them. They could cause some unwanted damage via fying your o2's....and so on.

Try to refrain if you can

I drove my car with open headers for a week until my true duals came in with no issues or codes. You will probably foul whatever set of o2's you use within 20 miles if you get the ceramic coating no matter what. I reused mine, and they went in 10 miles. After that the other ones I reused lasted for almost a year. Both sets were the originals on the car.

I ran my car with Open y-pipe, and it was mean! I think I read somewhere on here you need at least 18 inches of piping after the O2 sensors to not cause damage to them....but I could have read wrong..

I bet it sounds really badass. but yeah you need at least 18 inches after the o2 so they dont foul.

I just installed my LT's and just drove it to the exhaust shop. That was enough for me. Aside for the ridiculous noise I didn't like how bad the car rattled inside. Sounded like a damn air plane. If you can wait there is no reason, also depends on the cops around your area. I had one swing on me on my way to the exhaust shop. I think the only reason he didn't pull me over was because I pulled in the shop right as he caught up with me. It was crazy loud.

It made me nautious every time i drove them, i loved the sound, but i was always so scared i was gonne get pulled over. You can definantly tell u get more power from open headers. If i could get away with it, i'd leave them open on cruises and race nights. But alas, its a DD.

Its loud but you will get used to it after the first day. I drove open headers for 3 days last month and it wasnt too bad. I just had to watch out for the cops.

I wouldn't run open headers in cool/cold weather. Prob be OK to do if the weather is warm, but, I just wouldn't risk it.

Well i have new bosch 13111's O2's that will go in after the y pipe gets here,i'll just extend the stockers until it gets here and foul them out(no loss),and the cops arent that bad and i drove my LT1 open header a couple of times and it wasnt too bad. Would my LS1 be worse than my LT1 was???

Trust me im gettin readyto do it on my car....gonna go get my headers install them myself and then drive to the shop to get TD's fabbed up
