10bolt...a4..built LS1..which gears?
Ok...
I found a car I may be buying.
It has a built LS1,forget internals,etc...has a built 700R4 trans...now
The car has 4.10's on it..which are too low for me. I don't need that much bottom end..
I know everyone says the stock rears are junk, but can't afford one if I get the car (right away at least)
Now If i were to go w/ a smaller gear set, like say a 3.42...would it probably not be as hard on the rear,if say I wanted to run DR's?
I would def. like to take this car to the track and run other than street tires to see what kinda times it'll run (previous owner never had it at the track)
or should i just do the 3.42's and keep running street tires at the track until I can afford a rear?
Joe
