This poll is worthless. People are just going to vote on what they have. Very few will have used all of the above.

I have a Pro 5.0 with Lou's Short Stick, but since I've never used a Ripper, I'm not going to vote. It's 100% personal preference. I drove a car with the Pro 5.0 w/LSS and liked it, so I bought one.

There are dozens of these "which one is better" threads. We didn't need another.

I haven't used any other than stock and my pro 5.0 but i've always liked shifters that feel like the pro 5.0 does. So go with what you like to feel in the shifter find some cars with that set up and see if they'll let you take it for a spin. Only way your going to find the one you like. trial and error

from all the forums that are on this same topic, I've come to the conclusion that the factory Hurst shifter with a short stock and a ****, is the best way to go and save some money. I myself, did not have the factory install Hurst shifter, and replced mine with a Hurst Billet Plus and put a WS6 store short stick on it. I love it. But most people with the Factory Hurst seem to love it after they put the short stick on it.

Hurst Billet + with full length stick. I've driven a pro 5.0 too. What I like about the hurst is that I can change the radio without taking my hand off the shifter. The the mechanical side of the shifter is very solid too and I like that aspect.

i had a pro 5.0, the oem hurst & a hurst billet. I had a LSS on all of them. Pro 5.0 is definitely smoother going up through the gears but you can miss a shift going down the gears its not as smooth. Hurst Billet is nice but isn't to smooth going from neutral to 3rd you need to make sure you find it just right, its not quite as much of a smooth shift as the pro 5.0, but not a major difference. Oem is just not as smooth easier to get into 3rd then the hurst billet, but not as quick as the others or as smooth. My opinion buy the pro 5.0 or don't spend all the money it won't be that much of a difference with the hurst

Iv got an SLP short throw in mine. IIRC, it Cost around $110 and is very comparable to the Pro 5.0, just half the price. To me, it feels the same as a Pro 5.0. Add a LSS to the mix and its made me one happy T56 owner

Just my .02

And i agree w/ post #3.

I have shifter every shifter on the list. my fav was the pro 5.0

the best look (to me) was the LSS with the factory hurst ****.

In my SS it came with a ripper shifter, so i put a factory hurst **** on it.

So my vote would be anything with the hurst ****, cuz the stock one just looks the best!

I've had a Pro 5.0 and a stock hurst with short stick. I've driven a friends car with the hurst billet plus and it was my favorite out of all of them.

I have a Pro 5.0 w/short stick, and my buddy has a B&M Ripper. I've used both, and so has he, and he is constantly talking about wanting the Pro 5.0.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can't add a short stick to the Ripper. That sucks.

the ripper is a one piece unit, so any short stick would need to be a custom job. most people just cut it down and redo the threads.

I have a Hurst Billet Plus with a stock stick that was chopped and welded 2 1/2" shorter and it is the most bad *** shifter I have ever felt. Just my opinion, but I know it works.

I've had all 3 and in my opinion, the pro50 is the best. However you will get many different views on all the shifters its all personal preference.
