Default I am doing my own TD Setup and.........

Has anyone else done this? I do not have a pipe bender to use. So I am going to order all the stainless from summit or jegs. If so how many different bends did you use? I am looking to do 2.5 inch system with x-pipe with 1 chamber flows over the axle. Not expecting many answers.

i made my own true duals, but i made all the bends myself without a pipe bender. If you are going all stainless, its gonna be alot of tig welding. if there is anything i can help you with let me know.

How did you make the bends. Were the pipes crimped. You have any pics?

its holding up fine. being that it is aluminized piping, it should not rust anyways. the only reason i painted it is to make it less noticable under the car...it was silver before.

Doing your own is a bitch. It's tough to tell what you are going to need. If you can return them, do what recommended above and buy like 5 of each, and a bunch of straight piping. That will be your best bet.

You can't buy stainless Flowmaster's either, so you are paying extra money for stainless pipe welded to an aluminized muffler....

you should be able to get away with 4 45's or 4 90's.

Ive noticed that a chop saw from home depot helps oodles. Allows you to make angle cuts and slight bends in the pipe.

Keep up your thread as you start doing your exhaust. When i get more money saved i am going to be making my own TD system so it would help to be able to keep up with your build. I am going to run stainless 2.5 inch piping with the cats off my existing set up into an x pipe then i think im goin with one of the mufflers/resonators from Stainless Works, Under the axle and use the tips fom my existing set up. I have spent a lot of time doing research and measuring, mock up crap for the past while so i will be very interested in seeing how your build goes. good luck.
