I read that it is not recommended to put the slp cold air intake on the ws6 and SS camaro I have one at home and i already have the lid on it shoudl i not put the metal cold air intake piece in or should I?

Its is the wrong forum, but still to answer the questions. For NON-ram air cars their intake has like a 1" gap instead of the taller 2" ish gap for the intake box. The SLP kit has a rubber piece that blocks the smaller gap and air can only be took in from the bottom. The will cause a "Raming" effect since the air can only enter one way. If you dont block the front then you may get turbulance and really negate the effect of the sheet metal duct.
