Default Fishing & NW Houston

So I've been looking for some ponds to do some serious bass fishing, and really all I can find are the ponds on golf courses. Does anybody know a fishing hole around 290/1960 where theres some good bass fishing? I'm not scared to drive a little or go offroad, but I also dont feel like driving out to lake conroe. Any tips or advice is well appreciated.

I only fish offshore, but 2coolfishing.com is a decent fishing message board for the Houston area.

If you have a boat or kayak, you need to take a trip to Fayette County lake near La Grange. It just doesn't get any better. There's a slot limit so unless you catch a 9# bass it's catch and release. You wear yourself out this time of year through April.

The Pasadena area has several sand pits that offers some good bass fishing also.

It's a fun and relaxing sport. Good luck!!
