Looks

I would go with the old style just cuz I prefer them......but I would have to see them both to make an informed decision. :\

That's sweet Bobby.

Go for the SLP SS grille.

Honestly I like it the way it is. The SLP grill has red lettering right?, I dont think that it would go very well without any other red on the car. Not a fan of the clear lenses either. Car looks great though!

The only thing I would do to dress it up more would be to get the polished SS badges like I have on my car. I think chrome really accents that color and makes it look outstanding. Putting SLP on the front of it would detract from its look IMO. I also dont think a shiny gloss black would look good on that either. The subtle semi flat black that it is now matches the rest of the car.
just my opinions of course, everyones eyes are different.

Once you tint the windows, the black accents will look better IMO.

Kinda wish my car was a hardtop.

What are you talking about I thought you were willing to trade straight up

If I got the SLP SS grill it would be customized. There would be some pewter and the SS would Black. I like the polished badges but I don't think it goes with the theme of the car (one of the reasons I'm not going to put the polished billet grill I have on it). I really want it to be subtle except for the rims, I mean right now it looks pretty docile except for the roll bar
While I can usually take or leave clear corners on a Pewter car they just look right IMHO.

Thanks for the input though.. I may think a little more on the polished badges those are pretty sweet..

Ya know, I'd only trade you cars straight up, cuz we're good friends. I mean honestly, let's weigh the pros/cons here:

My car:
97' Z28
no running engine
no trans
stock salad shooters
T-tops <-- my selling point

Your car:
99' SS
388ci 473rwhp monster motor (on a Mustang dyno no less)
T56
9" rear
Roll bar
Fikses
Hard top <-- nobody wants a hardtop

See, I don't understand why we haven't traded yet lol...

I'm tellin ya man those badges on that car would stand out. I wouldnt do the scoop insert though I dont think that looks good.
You should do some mspaint work on a photo to check out how the grill would look. Post it up we'll vote and have fun
