Suspension & Brakes - SFC's

Is it worth getting the 3 point subframe connectors? I have t tops and thought iy would help out more than the 2 point. Are the 2 points just as good as the 3 point??? Am I adding a waste of extra weight here?? Please help me decide. :lurk:

IMO, waste. Just get the 2 points.

2 point here and no complaints, from what i read on here there was limited if at all difference between the two...

The main purpose of the 3-points is to reinforce the floorpan mounting locations of a tunnel mounted torque arm, that way you don't rip the floor pan apart on a hard launch, it ties that mounting location to the rest of the frame. I'd imagine the 3-points would also help handling by tieing each subframe together in the center(with a tunnel mounted torque arm). For drag racing purposes, other than reinforcing those mounting bolts, I don't think they'll help you much. For autox and such, seems like it would make the body a lot more rigid.

Some would say the chassis is plenty stiff, and they are dead weight.
I am one of those people. Had 3pt SLPs--took them off.

2 pt are better then nothing, but I say 3 pt all the way. My Kenny Browns are awesome!!

i just got everything you see in that umi pic...cant wait to get it all on and see how much it improves traction, i am told lca's and torque arm are a must for drag racing...the 3point is just made if you want to mount the torque arm to the tunnel like you see in that picture. if that doesnt look like a much stronger set up then i dont know what i am missing???

i did a complete switch with all Spohn(and SLP 3-points, and BMR relocation brackets) stuff, and its awesome.

the other day on the street i dumped the clutch at 2500 with sumitomo tires and a ram HD clutch, no spin, no hop, no bog. it just went. :pimp:

Other way around, actually you prevent the car from twisting on a hard launch. For road racing if you already have a properly setup car you may/may not be able to tell the difference with SFC's.

Do you need the middle brace to tie the two sfc's together? I'm talkin' the 3 pont brace.

you only need the middle brace if you want to run the shorter torque arm that mounts on the tunnel. it takes the stress off the tranny and is supposed to be alot stronger. which equals better traction and short times. some also come with a driveshaft loop as well
