Here are some pictures of my cars speedometer

I did that same thing in the snow...And I wasnt moving.

I did that once........ then I figured out that the cars stock suspension and brakes weren't built for that speed. Gotta love it though when it bounces off the peg and then stays solid on it.

Probably why he was going so fast. Trying to hurry up and get to the station before he runs out.

That's the second thing I noticed, right after seeing the speedo. :D

I can tell you that was not on a dyno. It was on US Highway 90 betweem FM 2100 and Beltway 8 near Houston,Texas.

That was the fastest I have ever been in any car. (Looking at the picture) I was in 4th gear @5000 RPM and 155 MP and I think it was still pulling.

I actually just enjoyed a cookie from "Secret Spoon". My mom ordered them for me. It came with cookies which were halfway dipped in chocolate and chocolate covered strawberries. THey are all seriously amazing but anyways.......WHO Takes a picture going that fast seriously?!?

what gears do you have in your car? my cars' 4th gear tops out at 132mph

Ha yeah i was gonna say, my 4th is 135, wtf are u thinking making it any higher than that, the first day i had my z28 (special editon 1995 one of 217 or 218 ever made, owned by a car collector, i helped him with his computer so he sold me the car) i burried the needle and hit the rev limiter in 5th gear... far over 155 btw

2.73 = 140mph
3.23 = 118mph
3.42 = 112mph
3.73 = 102mph
4.10 = 93mph

3.23 = 169mph
3.42 = 159mph
3.73 = 102mph

Otherwise I think that if we get anything out of this is seeing just how accurate those stock RPM o'meters are compared to speed/gearing.

I guess I have the 342's (looking at your chart there) AS far as I know it is the stock ratio that came in my car and has not been changed

So i may hace hit top speed 159 in 4th

along with the speedometer and tach. those numbers could be off a little too. the slightest tire size change could affect that

Had mine buried at 155 for about a minute or so. If I had to guess I would say about 170 mph. I had good tires, divided highway with no one out (don't want to put anyone elses life in danger). Only did it once. Wouldn't take my eyes off the road for a 1/10 of a second. Going that fast is extremely dangerous.

I've always found my tach to be pretty bang on.

At 5600rpm the speedo reads just under 160mph which is bang on the 158mph limiter it also just stops pulling at this rpm, this is in 3rd with 2.73 final drive.

I think we need to keep it on topic, if you want to mention anything about the gearing you should mention your favorite girl scout cookie.
