Port your stocker to a 78mm.

Stock is 75mm.

Don't buy an aftermarket TB unless it is a 90mm for your 90mm intake.

the best thing to do right now is port your stock tb, and keep saving for the 90/90 setup

The Ls6 intake manifold only has a 75mm hole in it, so there's no point in a TB bigger than that.

Stock is 75mm, porting it (see sig) cleans up the air flow. Not sure how you can really make it a 78mm TB without replacing the TB blade.

Or check out TPIS, they offer on an exchange basis a 90mm LS6 intake, you can then get a 90mm TB. Not as good as FAST 90 intake but improvements over stock LS6.
