Default LS2 402ci into a 2000 4 X 4 ?

I'm thinking of buying a 2000 4 X 4 short bed with a 4.8 V8.

The 402 out of my 2000 TA should fit in there without a lot of problems ?

I know I'll have to use an electric fan in order to keep the FAST 90/90 setup.

And a retune for SD...

It should fit without alot of problems.

The blocks, heads, and such are identical. You'll want to use the truck accessories, and you'll need to swap the balancer to keep the truck accessories (use a new balancer bolt!).

The intake stuff should be the biggest of your worries. I think the truck injectors have a different connector, so you might have to replace the connectors on the harness.

So the Balancer is a different length? Are they available in the under drive version?
Speartech or someone should make a harness for the injectors.

I'd like to use the FAST as I'll use a L76 W/42lb inj. on the new eng. for the TA.

There are 3 different balancers to go with 3 different accessory drive system offsets (distance from the block). May be even more than that with the new FWD stuff.

Vette & CTS-V run the closest.
F-body & GTO are a little further out (like 3/4")
Truck & SUV's are the furthest out (out another 1" or so).
