Daily Driver on an A4.
I have a 00 t/a, and i plan on upgradeing to a Dana 60, i have an A4 and i would like to know what kind of ratio i should be looking at for the rear end if i plan on driving it on the track on some weekends and using on the street. I have seen others with A4s and built up rear ends, and at 65mph their motor is going 2000 RPM, i think thats alot of abuse on a motor when i will be doing 75-82mph on the hwy. and i might be doing that every day. Any ideas?

I dailly drive my ss 30-miles each day which is mostly highway. I have moser 4.10's in my A4, my topend is still extremely strong. I don't understand why people think getting higher ratio gears kills your topend. I did have my computer tuned adn rev limiter increased. But everyones opinion is different.
