I just put a set of Nitto drag radials on yesterday and adjusted the PSI to 26 lbs. They grab pretty good. My other street tires Goodyear F1's would spin at 4k rpm, But these Nitto drag radials don't spin. I went with the nitto's because they are the best of the drag radials in the rain.

I love the R2's. Wish they made them in the 315 size.
The drag radials need a fairly low pressure to wear evenly, but they feel wobbly at high speed. For the front the 555's are not bad, but they don't have the solid feel at high speeds of the 555R2. If you don't care about 100+ mph and just keep it slow, the 555's are just fine for that. Don't cost much either.

Uh mine never felt wobbly? You are supposed to run 24-26psi in them on the street and they feel just about like any other radial tire (being that they ARE a radial tire).
Now they aren't going to feel as solid as the R2 because the R2 is like I said, a handling tire with a stiff sidewall for cornering. They are not a drag radial and will not launch as well as the softer R tire.
I could maybe see you having problems if you have a 315 tire on a stock sized wheel (9-9.5") or are running lower pressure than you should be, but they should be stable at speed. Mine always have been all the way up to 100mph (beyond that, you shouldn't be making fast turns anyway).

It's the soft sidewalls that hamper stability at higher speeds. When I switched from the 315 555R rears (at about 26psi cold) to the GSD3's (at about 28 psi cold) I could tell the stabilty improved. Or you could temporarily pump the 555R's to like 35psi and you can really feel the difference in the handling. Unfortunetly you can't keep them that high.
It's kind of like going from a poly/poly PHR to a rod/rod PHR. It gets rid of the slop in the the rear and the car goes straighter.
