Default Factory Hurst and WS6 Store SS

got a factory hurst to upgrade from my factory boat oar, and went ahead and ordered a WS6 store short stick. got a total of 95 bucks in the shifter, the stick and a new leather "H" ****. going to install it all next week when the weather is nice. i plan to take pics of the install and finished product just for ***** and giggles.

This is the same combo I have and it's a nice, although I've never driven a T56 f-body with the stock shifter (non-Hurst) to compare. As stated above, it's a little notchy, but only when it's cold.

Also, the shifter **** will be about 1" to the right of where the stock **** sits (which I like), but some don't like that.

It shouldn't, are you sure you didn't bolt it down on the wrong side of the shifter? With the stock stick, you thread the bolts on from the passenger's side. With the short stick, you thread the bolts on from the driver's side.
