LS6 intake going on tonight, good gains?
I'm installing my LS6 intake tonight on my Patriot cammed 98 Z-28 camaro. Will it be enough of a gain to feel or just another 4 or 5 HP? From my dyno it looked like my car was choking for air in the mid to upper RPM's so I'm hoping this will help it out a little. What do ya'll think?

I sure will, hopefully it won't be too bad! I've got a 12 pack of Bud and will be in the warmth of my garage with the TV on so everything should go smooth. I'll let you know.

Hell yeah, I hope it wakes the car up a little more. It just feels like the motor wants more air with the stock intake and heads, the torque curve was pretty flat but my horsepower slowly dropped off after 5800 RPMS. I'll post the results tomorrow after I get this thing on there, hopefully I won't break the oil pressure sender and have to leave the car parked over the weekend.

Cool, we semi ported my TB a while back but I didn't want to take too much material off of it. Is there a writeup somewhere that shows the proper way of Porting the throttle body?

Allright, is the sender in the same place as an older SBC? Meaning it's on the left side, rear right behind the intake? It's hard to see back under the cowl where they stuffed the motor. Bastards..

im sure theres several write ups....ive done my own and several others
theres 3 different bits you use, dont epoxy anything, dont mess with the blade area where the blade fits flush with the body itself, grind down the lip portion as thin as you can get it without poking through to the other side, then use a medium grit dremel bit, and then polish it off.....

Thanks for the tips, I'll be careful around the sender. I sure as hell don't want to break that damn thing. Got one more hour here at work then it's modding time, God I feel like a kid waiting on Christmas sometimes!
