Well, they were hitting everything. First the passenger header was hitting the starter so bad I could not get the header to sit flush on the head. Pulled it out, beat it, good to go. Second is the driver header. It is hitting that aluminum engine knub on the drivers side toward the rear of the block. I tried to clearence the header tube but anymore and its gonna be a huge restriction. Can I pull the header and grind that knub off? Is their any fluid running threw it? WTF is it there for other than for the motor to sit nice in an engine crate?

Lastly the driver side header also hits the kmember at the driver die front most portion. Gonna bang that out when I pull the header again.

Any help with the knub question would be appreciated.

the tab is a casting tab cut it off. which E-bay headers are these? I got the ones from SS auto chrome and the fit was A+ Fantastic, not a single problem

Dont want to steal the thread but does anyone know what happen to those headers? I wanted to get a set but they dont sell them anymore.

I didnt ahve any trouble with SS Auto Chrome, customer service was fine when I got ahold of them through E-bay, headers fit like a glove, quality was excellent. I dunno why hes having such problems, or may he got the OBX E-bay ones?

SS Autochrome here. No pass side issues at all. Driverside rubbed the K member alittle, grinded k member, problem solved. I didn't grind that casting tab. I've heard if you ever need to get the block honed, the machine shop needs that.

I sent several inquiries via ebay and never recived a response. The only time I got any response from them was from their automatic feedback on the headers which I won but never received. I was told by another ebay member that they were out of stock.

wow, that sucks yur have such a bad time with them. best of luck to ya but cut off that tab first and see how much better they fit. a lot of ehaders also require you to bang on the floorboard a little bit or you can bend that collector down. mine fit fine after I got the jet hot Y pipe on them.

I suggest you tell them you want to buy a set, and ask them to call you to answer a few questions, I bet you'd get a phone call that day.
