Default BS for a 2.5" shortened each side 12 bolt???

I am strongly looking at a Strange 12 bolt that has been shortened 2.5" on each side but im not sure which backspacing to run? The car will have stock (grinded) LS1 brakes with a small spacer to clear. Also I would like to stick with my Prostars. I have the 7.5 BS ones now so I could sell them and get the correct ones. Would 5.5" BS work??? I want them to be tucked and not sticking out as the car will be lowered and fenders rolled.
Thanks!

If you have a housing that is 5 inches narrower... you will need to decrease your backspace by 2.5 inches per side. Meaning... that if you have 7.5 inches of backspace right now, you will need 5 inches of backspace to run that housing and be the same.

As for 5.5 inches... its your call. You should get under the car and take a look to see if that is even a possibility. I think it is... but I can not say for certain without looking myself.

How much room do you have with your current set-up ??

I have a pair of new ProStar XP 16 x 8 wheels in stock, that stock way out on a stock rear. I'll have to check on their backspacing, but I'll bet they are what you need. Bob

I have mine narrowed 2 inches a side, I went with 15x10 with 5 inch BS, I know on my moser 9 inch my brakes are really close to the lower control arm relocation brackets, I even had to cut some of it out and weld peices in there so the brakes would clear, just something for you to think about.

Jesse, what size tire are you going to run? A 5.5BS with a spacer should work for you though.

With a 10" wheel it'll set exactly where mine sit now. I'm running the stock rear with a 7.5" backspacing and have the 325/50/15 mt dr's on them. I'm not lowered, and they are very close and took work to fit, but your going to be on a narrower tire.

Yours will be 28.1, 11.7 sidewall, 10.0 tread width vs my 28, 13 sidewall, 11 tread width, so they should fit fine. You might have to run a small spacer to bring them out slightly, but other than that they should be able to fit..

I've also got a 12 bolt that is narrowed 2.5" per side and I'm up in the air on going with 15x10 with a 5.5" bs prostar, or switch to telstars and run a 15x10 with a 5" bs. The prostar would sit in .5" but I could bring it back out a little with a spacer if I have to, I'm already very close to my lca and don't want to have to purchase the offset ones just yet. I do also plan on lowering the car.
