Hmmm... I'm not sure if there's a question in there somewhere, or if you're just making a statement...

Anyways, congrats on making a good decision, now get shopping. If you want the best of the best, I'd suggest looking for a GMMG car, look in Hemmings and you'll usually find a couple, expect to pay between 25-40k for one, depending on the phase. If you want something a little more basic, but still iconic, go for a 35th Anniversary SS 1LE, which I believe is the only production car that GMMG will convert, so you still have room to play with the second sticker option!

Pretty much an ls1 is an ls1.

Read the sticky in the noob or new user section about the light changes in all the years.

I do agree best of the best would be a 35th anny SS 1le car.

Thats asuming you just want to leave it bone stock. But who does that?

If you have ANY desire to do modding yourself, I strongly suggest to do the opposite and look for the more basic model so your initial cost doesnt go to waste. Just like was said, and LS1 is an LS1. That said an 02 SLP anni. has the most options from the factory.

If you want the best of the best Camaro....get the Firebird version. :jest:

They are a little nicer inside, better seats etc...

But, the "Best" would be a Dick Harrell edition Camaro by GMMG, if you have about $90K to spend for an '02 version.
