Default Spec flywheel w/ another brand clutch???

I have a spec 3 with the billet steel flywheel in my 2000 SS. The clutch is worn out and slipping, and not 100% sure if I want to stick with spec for the replacement.

Will the spec flywheel work with another brand, for example a Ram HD???

If I can put a new insert on the spec flywheel for around $80 and use that I would be very happy.

Make sure the flywheel is surface ground if you use a RAM clutch for proper disc seating!!!

^^^ more commonly called re-surfacing. it's the same principle as having your disc brakes cut/turned. they take off a few thousanths on a lathe to ensure a "true" (completely flat) surface.

Okay, I just wasn't familiar with calling it that, I figured it was but didn't want to assume.

Thanks for your help!
