LQ4 heads --> LS1? I tried searching for this, but could not find the answer i was looking for. I'm picking up a set of LQ4 heads from a friend fairly soon, and have some questions about them. I was planning on setting these on my 2000 LS1. He's telling me that the LQ4 heads are essentially the LS6 heads (2.00 Intake, 1.55 exhaust), but larger in combustion chamber. (72 cc vs. 64cc).
Is it true that i can have a shop mill down the head surface to bring it to stock configuration of the LS6 to place on my LS1? Are there any significant differences?
