Default Lid question

I was looking into buying a graneteli lid of my buddy, he has a 99 z and i have a 2000 z, i noticed that the cars take different part numbers, 350200& 350201 whats the difference between these? any help is appreciated thanks!

The earlier cars didn't have air injection on them. The later model lid will come with a small breather filter to put inside your AIR hose.

is it a good idea to get rid of the air injection? Does that have to do with emissions laws?

Yea, it's just for emissions. Alot of guys get rid of it. Basically all it does is inject air to help burn the unburnt fuel in the exhaust.
