I took my car to get some paint work done on the driver side door and the front bumper. After i left the ABS INOP,BRAKE,SERVICE LIGHTS came on i looked in the book nothing. But why should these light come on after some paint work?

Ok i just got back from autozone and they dont check cars after dark because the crime rate is through the roof.

So i bought a obd2 and it found no codes.

Because it probably only pulls emissions codes...

You won't find brake/abs codes in the PCM, it will be out of the abs control module.

Why don't you just take it back to the paint shop? $10 says it something simple, like they unplugged the ABS sensor up front when they were trying to mask it off.

i believe that its a ground problem or the connector at the abs module ive had that happen once with a z28 that came out of the body shop was your car in any kind of front end accident?

The car was never hit. I just took it in for some rock/bug damage.

possible a coinkIdink it was does happen. You have to take it to a shop and have the abs/asr module scanned for codes then go from there.

could be a ground problem they could have painted over where a ground was connected and now its not geting ground

I found out it was water in the abs fuse that caused it to blow out. It sound like when they hosed it down they got water in it.

I'll post pics of there work soon. They do good work tho.

Yea they did. I still need them to paint my bird plate and buff the bumper and door and put the trans am letters back on. I called them wednesday in the am and said i would be there thursday to finish up. They said sure. I called today and oh can we do this friday. I am pissed off like no other.
