Hello,

What torque arm of ours will not fit your 9"? And also what brand rear end is it? The only arm we have trouble with on a 9" is the non-adjustable which I would recommend anyhow do to adjustment needed with most 9" rears.

funny you replyed I was gonna call you tomm. ots a moser 9" and the TA is the non-adjustable. I was told it would work with a 12bolt and 9" when I bought it. is their anything I can do to make it work? like grind off some of the weld or noch the bolt holes?

We have found that with most torque arms, if you do a little grinding on the ones that don't fit, they will work. Bob

If you grind it, it will work. Don't do much with the holes because you do not want holes that can allow the torque arm to move. But but grinding some off for it to slide on is fine and it will work doing that.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

What ever is stopping it from sliding on to the rear end fully, I assume some of the weld and the plate. I have never actually ground one for a 9", just spoken to customers that have.

it was simple since i have carbide grinding bits.

I got an update.....
will I grinded the T-total hell out of it and it now fits but I would not use words like "minamal" or "a little" grinding Im gonna say MAJOR GRINDING I had to cut the top plate compleatley off for it to barley fit..just for the record this is the only bad experience I have had with UMI stuff everything elce I have is very nice but IMO they need to change their design on the non-adjustable TA or clearly put on their website that it will not work on a 9" without major work

the adjustable, you can take the plate off of the arm and mount it on the rear end then attatch the arm again.. one good thing to add to the adjustable arm's list

IMHO, if the UMI fit the factory rearend fine, then the fitment problem is the fault of the new 9" rearend, not the UMI piece. My Random Technology piece was pretty tight on the factory 10-bolt, but it fit... in the end (with persuasion). I guess what my point is... I only expect a company to make a piece that replaces factory pieces, if two aftermarket pieces conflict, and one of those pieces is known to have replaced factory pieces fine, I would then blame the "engineering" of the other aftermarket part...
