Default 4.10 Gear.. Which would you choose?

I may be in need a 4.10. so what gear is the best? This will be in my 10 bolt

Here are my choices

GM, Motive....

No Richmond.. they whine way to much.

also what is the best way to keep it from making noise?

thanks for your help.. I know that when i had my 4.10 in my 97 GT, no noise at all

Thanks Jonas

I'd recommend the 4.10/4.11s that come in a 12-bolt actually

If it were me, and it was my 10-bolt, I'd probably do the Motives, and as for the noise, I'd take it to someone that I trusted to set up a rear end worth a damn.

GM first, Motive second.

And- AAM makes GM gears, Motive is just a reseller for them.

Something that expensive isn't in many people's budgets...trust me, I understand how you feel. That's one expensive piece of equipment.

I ordered the Motive 3.90s. The motives seem to be the favorite on here.

You shouldnt have any noise problems initially, but after a few hard launches all bets are off. Especially with a 4.10.

I have AAM(GM) 4.10s and they don't whine at all. The best advice i can give you is to brake them in for atleast 500 miles. Make sure they are city miles not Hyw miles. I've had mine for about a year and they are still holding up fine. I took it to the track number of times, and was cutting 1.9 and 1.8 60ft on the 10 bolt.
