well, im putting white stripes and a white interior in my car, along with white valve covers. yes i know they are going to be a bitch to keep clean. i have debated on putting a shot of clear over the white to make it easier to clean, but i am afraid of it rasing the white.

just use the right heat paint and right clear coat.....what temp is your paint rated at?

its krylon fusion, the guy at the DuPont store reccomended it. he said normally all rattle can is rated to 500*. im just afraid of the clear rasing the paint beneath it.

i think you should ask around in the detailing forum....ive seen plenty of cleared coated HEADS, that hold up....im actually going to paint my head covers black soon, i have a 1200 temp type paint....gotta over due that crap

my old LS6 intake was basecoat clear and was white...man it was a PITA keeping it clean. my cowl hood let in so much crap it was always dirty
