Default New Stall Possibly slipping

well it seems like sometimes something is slipping like i'll give it gas the rpms go up but theres not as much power behind it as when i first got the stall converter put in...any suggestions why this would be...and usually the power loss where i deffinitly noticed is around 35-45 roll...like i said it only happens sometimes...its kinda cool out but not really cold i mean its florida..lol..is there any specific fluid i need to put in besides the dexron 3 atf that would stop or control the slipping if thats what it is?...
thanks for the help

If you still have the TCI converter, I bet it is the problem. They have a huge return problem with these converters. About 15%.

My tranny has went out twice in the past. The 1st one was the stocker and when I added H/C, a week later it went down hill. For me, it was fine and as soon as it would shift into 3rd, RPM's shoot up and would no accelerate.. My "Rock-On" transmission that I spent 2G's on, did the exact same thing about 800 miles and 4 track passes on it.. So, both times it was the 3rd/4th packs. Now, its shipped off to FLT to get it done right.. How many miles you have on the tranny?

Well yes a converter can slip if the sprag is bad, Also the lockup clutch can slip also , But it would be hard to tell you how to determine wether its a trans slip or converter slip well except for the lockup that would set a code if the converter clutch slipped 1870. Try to find someone local there with a stall and get them to drive your car and give there opinion , Stalls particularly if there loose can feel like the trans is slipping anyway and still be normal

No the check engine light would likley not come on from slipping trans, But based on what you are discribing I think you do have a slipping trans
