My question is this... after I install a yank 4000 or maybe even a 4400 with just long tubes,true duals,UD pulley,tune and a little nitrous 100-150 dry hit will the stock tranny hold up for long? a buddy tells me that the juice will help end it's life and that I should stick to N/A until I can either upgrade the tranny or go with a turbo 350-400 and stall, what do you guys think and any suggestion's or info is appreciated?

Mine was ok with just bolt ons, put the cam in and then went for a tune and the trans started slipping. I would probably do what your buddy said.
BTW, do you not want anyone on the other site knowing about your ls1? Just asking b/c i've never seen you post about it.

Stall, bolt ons, cam and you'll out run 80% of the other board. Keep an eye out for a used yank. I paid 450 plus shipping for mine and it works fine. But it's quite possible the trans will **** out when you do a cam like mine did

My old setup I had a 100 dry shot and St 3500 from yank and trans is still good I didn't spray in between shifts, I sprayed from 3k-5,800. Decided to give it to my brother for his project and bought a built one from Performa. for my new setup.

I've been lucky to say the least. Multiple low 11 sec passes @ 126 mph w/ soft 1.6 60', bolt ons, cam, 4k stall, 150 wet shot, shifting @ 6700 w/ bone stock trans (minus cooler & stall) w/ 68k miles.
That being said, I just dropped off a 4L80 at a local builders shop, it's only a matter of time before that sucker grenades.
