Hello all! I am proud to be the brand new owner of a 2002 Camaro SS with 8,000 miles! I flew all the way to LA to pick it up and drive it home. My dad has owned a 35th anniversary Camaro since 02 as well. In '06 I bought a Mustang Roush stage 2 and sold it a year later last week. I had my slow Mustang in the dealership 12 times, once a month. F-bodies blow any pony out of the water.
Two wise men once said:
Several of us (maybe a majority) are former Mustang owners or still own one. These LS1 engines are just too awesome to resist.
“Every 99-04 GT I've raced has been a young guy about my age that thought either: they could beat me because I was auto, or because they thought LS1s were too much hype, or just because they wanted to be david and take down that bully Goliath. Most 2v 4.6s, especially those owned by high school kids, are just easy LS1 bait.”

Thanks guys... My car has a Center Mounted Exhaust as well. Does that mean the muffler is a GMMG?

welcome. As the owner of a 2004 GT & 2000 Trans Am I must say there are some 4.6 2V's you better watch out for.

No...that means that the original owner had that installed "second sticker" by SLP. Look for the "second sticker" on the drivers side door and you will see all the second sticker content that was optioned when the car was ordered.
Welcome to the board. :)

All you need to do is drive one and you're hooked! I waited a long time to drive an f-body (40 yo), in the past two years I've bought five (and still have them all). Welcome to the Dark Side!

The SLP sticker on passenger side door says chrome 10 spoke wheels & 345 HP Center Mounted Exhaust package....

Good choice, one drive of my z28 converted my friend over real fast, he was into mustangs, and now he wonders wtf is ford thinging producing something like that. If you think about it, it doesnt make sence, back in the day ford wouldnt stand for chevy making an engine that just killed theirs, at least theyd try to do something about it.

What convinced me was all the 4.6 guys on the forums asking how to woop an ls1 every day. They would say: "Maybe if I get a 200 shoot, some 4.36's and a KB I can keep up with a stock ls1!" haha no thank you ill pass and just buy one.

Welcome to the club! I've always been a fan of the way a modded Mustang sounds, however when I wanted to buy something fast and not have to drop a ton on it to get it to run 11's, the LS1 was the way to go!

Yeah...that is pretty steep. I have to enter my driveway at a pretty decent angle
so I don't rub...makes all the difference in the world. Thanks for the compliment. :thumb:
I had an LS1 :(

Welcome, love the car.
My entire family is a bunch of Mustang owners. I love the fact that not even one of them can keep up with me. :D

Yo man. It took me 3 bad experiences with mustangs to see the light and now Im happier than anything. (I had a 01 GT, 99 Saleen S281, 03 Cobra and had bad experiences with them and ford)
Welcome to the LS1 side... where the grass is so green you'd swear it was fake.
