Default LS7UMI % throttle at idle

We have converted our LS7 to use a mechanical throttle body from UMI. We have also added a Katech camshaft. We are trying to get the engine to idle and we do not know what % TPS we should have stock to know if we have an unrelated problem. We have 9% now and I think we need more like 15% to get it to stay running. Anyone have any info that could help?

We are using Big Stuff 3 to control the engine.

Thanks!

Have you tried to drill the hole out in the TB to get it to idle right that way the computer can acualy use the IAC to controle the idle. This is what my tunner told me he was going to have to do with my big cam, I think it is used by most people to get the idle counts down then fine tune it with the IAC.

Sounds like a trick used on Holleys carbs too. I can keep increasing the hole size to get the idle but I would still like to know what % is normal so I can get in range to give the IAC a chance.

Thanks

Can anyone give me a number? I am really struggling to teach this how to run from ground zero with Big Stuff 3 and it I could get it to idle I may have a chance at looking at the other tables!

Thanks!

I would post this in the tunning section might have better luck there.
