Stay out of boost on the way there and you should be fine.

Don't drive it if you're not tuned for the larger injectors. You'll run incredibly rich and wash down the cylinder walls. If you're already set up for that size injectors, then as said above, stay out of boost and you'll be fine.

I don't think 42lbs injectors are going to wash down your cylinder walls if you drive the car a few miles. If you can adjust for them, I can give you the IFR table numbers for 42#'s.

If you're extremely worried about it, just put the stock ones in, drive there, then swap them out for the 42s. Takes well less than an hour to swap the injectors and can be done with little to no hassle in a parking lot...

When I put 42# injectors in my car without the turbo installed, I was running rich as hell. White smoking bad, so needless to say I put the turbo on there and trailered it to the dyno. No big deal you will just be that more excited when you hear it crank for the first time because you been waiting so long. It took me 2 months to put all that stuff on my car. So I was very happy to hear it run again. Pretty much what im trying to tell you is don't do it. Not worth it.

I would listen to TRT, they know their stuff.
I took my injectors to the tuner's location and installed them there. The car will run fine with the stock injectors and the STS installed.

I can't believe people here are saying it's fine to drive with 42's and stock tune That is seriously bad info.

You need atleast a tune for the injectors to even drive it.I wouldn't even attemp to start it without one.

You can reinstall the stock injectors and drive it just fine.Just don't boost it.We have people come for a tune all the time,we just change the injectors and tune it.Not hard.

Driving the car with the 42s in it untuned is a bad idea if you can put it on a tralior do that but driving with the stock injectors and staying out of boost is the next best option.

Many of the comments are on target. You do not want to drive without tune on the 42lb injectors. The other thing I would ask is: IS the rotating assembly stock; pistons and rings. If so you need to be real careful about boost. I have seen 3-4 STS Turbo's on stock LS1's and stock 6 liters put to much boost on the engine and destroy ring lands. My advice if it is stock; Wait untill you can replace with proper psitons to make sure you can drive it for a qhile.

next question.. i see such a mix with boost... i did not mention fmic and snow meth kit.. i dont really want to hit any more than 500 in fact i would be perfectly fine to see 450-480.. i really want to be as safe as possible... where can i be without relying on meth for the just in case it fails.. you guys are great thanks for the info. i will just put the stockers back in there to get there and change them in the parking lot like you said.
