Default Fikse FM5 vs. CCW SP500 vs. IForged Aero ???

So, I've always wanted a set of Fikse FM5's on a WS6...now I've got the WS6, just need the wheels. They're just an awesome classic wheel with a nice muscular look to them. Although they have been around for quite some time and are seen a lot.
I have two rear FM5's in 17x11" and just need to get the fronts (17x9.5") or could buy a set from a member on here and sell my rears.

But, now after researching wheels/etc. I've been thinking of going up to an 18x9.5" & 18x11" set-up. 17" wheels are starting to look small and with an 18" wheel I'll be able to move up to C5 front brakes which I've wanted too and wouldn't be able to do with the Fikse's.
Pricing on all of the wheels is all about the same, if I decided to go with something other than the Fikse's I could always easily sell off the rears I have.

So here are the choices...

1) Fikse FM5
Buy the front 17x9.5's (or a set), not be able to run a C5 brake set-up, and still only be running a 17" wheel

2) CCW SP500
I've always liked them on Camaro's and had never seen them on a TA until a recent thread here on LS1Tech. They're a very nice and clean 5 spoke wheel. Nice fat lip up front and even beefier out back. I'm REALLY liking these!

3) IForged Aero
Very nice wheel, again another 5 spoke wheel. Definitly can have quite a long wait when ordering these. Can be had in a 2 or 3 piece wheel. Would have a nice fat lip just like the CCW's. Like them a lot, but not sure if the bolts on them may make them slightly busy/bling for my taste.

BTW, Sorry if I've used your pic, but some of those cars are AMAZING!

FYI you can order the IForged Aero's without the rivets.

Really?
I didn't think you could since they were available in a 2 or 3 piece wheel
Anyone have pics of them w/o the rivets/bolts?

If you buy 2pc iforged wheels then the rivets are optional. If you go wit the iforged give us a call we can give you a deal on them.

I don't like the rivets on the Aeros, thats my personal taste though. Another option you might want to also consider are the CCW 505A's, I think they look better on TA's than the SP500's do. You aren't going to go wrong with any of your 3 listed choices, they are all fantastic wheels. One thing you mentioned was wait time. I ordered mine from CCW on a Monday and had them on Friday that same week. Their customer service is fantastic. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Here's the deal, you gotta decide what it is you want out of your rims. Fikse is decidedly a more race oriented company and their product offerings reflect that. The lip on Fikse wheels is very similar to the lip on CCW classics (CCW's track wheel). If however, you are more interested in the wow factor that comes with a big *** lip, go with the CCW's. I don't really have anything to say about iForged as I've never owned a set, however I have heard both positive and negative things about them. I have heard nothing but praise for Fikse and CCW. I have a set of Fikse FM-5's, 17x9.5 in the front and 18x10.5 in the rear. The main reason I own these wheels over say a set of CCW's is because these came up for sale at the right price at the right time. Just decide which lip appeals to you more and go with that.

But also remember you can get both styles roller and stepped lips with iforged wheels as well.

Definitely go with anything EXCEPT the CCW SP500s. I don't want you to have the same wheels as me

Out of what you listed, I'd go with:

1. CCW
2. Fikse
3. IForged

CCWs are nice and come quick if you catch them right (took about a week to get mine, and that was with a hurricane). Fikse...quality right there. Don't need to say much more about those... As for the IForged...their wait times tend to be long, and their customer service has been suspect in the past...not sure if they fixed that or not.

With any of them, if you get polished wheels, expect them to be a PITA to clean, especially the CCWs and IForged since those have HUGE windows. The fully polished barrels that come on the CCWs looks pimp, but if it gets dirty, it doesn't look so hot.

Nice car in that first pic

I think the Fikses are the best looking on a TA and there are some benefits of a 17 inch wheel over an 18 inch. After that I would definately go with the SP505's on a TA I believe CCW's website has some pics.

The one thing I don't like about CCW is the front offset. In fact the SP500's on the SOM car now are using a spacer to help make the wheel fill out the fender more.

If you decide to buy mine I will have to call CCW about the possibility of getting a better offset. You should go with the CCW's so I don't have to go through the hassle of taking mine off

The SP500s are sweet but I think they look better on camaros. So the Aeros get my vote but without rivets. The SP500s are a close second.

That's a tough decision, but either way you go you won't be disappointed. I'd go with the CCW's though.

My vote goes to the IForged Aeros, I personally like the inverted polished torx bolts. I think the bolts give the wheel a ritcher more exotic look. I also think its neat that the valve stem cap looks like one of the bolts and IForged also has the smooth rolled outer lip unlike the others.

I dont care for the center caps on the CCWs or the larger diameter hole for the lugs.

I love the Fikse wheels but hate the stepped outer barrel, it gives them an aged look and gives the illusion of a smaller diameter wheel.

Heres my old SS with the IForged Aeros...

and my Mecham also with the IForged Aeros...

im with you on this one... im thinking if i want to swap out to some 18" fikse FM5s instead of my simmons. the simmons are rare as they come already, especially in fully polished but i still love the FM5s. If some Fikses come my way with a VERY nice offer i may have to change over though *ahem*
