Default Witch is the best fluid for my clutch.

I orderd the slave cylinder and was wondering if I should just run the factory dot 3 fluid or change it to the dot 4 fluid. Did a search but had no luck thanks.

When I replaced my hydraulics, I bled out the factory fluid and used Wilwood High Temp Fluid. I think it is rated up to 570 or 600 degrees. Make sure you bleed it properly...don't be stingy with the fluid. It will be money well spent.

I use a DOT 4. Haven't had any issues, and would recommend it along with heat wraping the **** out of the hydraulic lines.

What kind of heat wrap would be best to use on the lines?

I just bought some simple header wrap from Jeg's. Basically, I cut strips that were about 4-5" long, and just wrapped it around itself to get some thickness built up. I just kept putting those rolled up strips side by side all the way down the line from start to finish. I then grabbed some pretty good sized shrink wrap tubing (like 3/4" or 1" or something), slipped it over all of the rolled up heat wrap, and put my heat gun to work. Once it all shrunk, it held everything tight, and looked like it actually belonged there.

If you just Google "heat shrink wrap", you'll find a lot of stuff...I think I got it from cableorganizer.com. They have all sorts of colors, and sizes up to 4" in diameter before shrinking (plus you can decide how much you want it to shrink - 1/2 size, 1/3 size, 1/4 size). I just ordered a few feet of it. I don't remember what the unshrunk diameter was, but I think it was 3/4", and certainly no larger than 1".
