Default Question on getting tires mounted

OK Here's the deal.
I have 2 C6 18x8.5" wheels for the front and 2 C6 18x10.5" for the back
(I had weldcraft widen 2 vette wheels to 10.5 from 8.5).
I plan on getting KDW tires, BUT if I buy off the net (probably from ls1tech sponsors) and have them shipped to me, what should I expect to pay to have them mounted and balanced by a local shop? Won't the local shop bend me over since I didn't buy the tires from them??

Thanks in advance guys

I think I paid somewhere between $80 and $100 to have America's Tire do it for me. It's nice, since they give me free rotating and all that jazz. A couple places quoted me $30-$40 a tire, and Wal-Mart wouldn't even do it.

My advice would be to go through TireRack.com and have them ship your tires to a nearby shop where you'd mount them. Easier, faster, and you can pick the cheapest shop from a list of recommended installers that TireRack has on file. I think I paid $20/tire for mine.

Plus they called within 30 minutes of my online order to ensure that I knew the tire sizes were larger than factory specs. Admirable customer service is always a plus.
