Default True dual question I've never seen before

Soon to happen future mods involve rear-end, lowering, and true duals.

Would it be a mistake to have custom true duals made first? Then after lowering it, some pipe might be resting/banging on something it wasn't before?

Same thing with a rear-end. I want to go over the axle, so it seems like having the correct rear in there first might be important?

There are clearance issues on the driver's side with true duals & it gets worse with an aftermarket rear. I had custom true duals installed on my car back when it was lowered, then did a 9" & had to relocate the panhard bar mount on the axel to help with clearance. Also I had issues with the brake lines, fuel lines & wireing on that side. There's nothing like the sound of true duals but you will compromise somewhere if doing a rear & lowering. I'm back to stock rear springs & 12" bullets right off the headers.

So basically if I run them both on the passenger side, then it should not be a problem when I do a rear later on?

Your exhaust is by far the best I've seen yet. Very neat & tucked away. Is it custom made per application or can a person order this and install it yourself?

Thanks

Probably not, just make sure it's got plenty of room. Aftermarket rear ends usually have 3" axle tubes (stockers are 2/5"), which will eat 1/4" of clearance on the exhaust side. Lowering will also move it a little closer. You can look at the swing path of the rear end, and just make sure there's no pipe running in it too close.

I would get the work done, THEN get custom Duals made. They should be able to route it up and over the axle no problem if it's 2.5" piping. The lowest point on the system will be up front the driver's side bend, see if they can tuck that up nicely.

That's what I needed to know.

Thanks guys.
