Default Out with the old!!!!

My buddy and I started tearing apart my t/a this past sunday and making room for the new engine, it took 3 or 4 hours of bs'ing ,eating pizza ,drinking monsters and turning wrenches to get it down to the short block and ready to be pulled tomorrow night..I found the answer to the mystery tick that it had for 2 years....5 bent pushrods! and evidnece of some piston to valve collison in a couple cylinders...If all goes well I should have it in and running in about a week i'm just waiting on pushrods, oil pump and all the gm gaskets

this setup is a "for now" or until it blows up and the way I push things there may be a 402 in the works sooner then later

I've got a quiet tick in my car too and always been thinking it's the pushrods, I haven't driven it much and have new ones to go in when I go back with my cam good luck with that engine swap!! sounds like it'll be a lot of fun!

Nice sounds like a sweet combo, why stock rods though and not forged rods?

That looks like a sweet project man! Are you the type of guy who rocks a sick mullet? Not sure why that is important, I just wanted to know.
