I don't hate my car enough to even risk losing it to PINKS. Love the show though.

PINKS ALL OUT is racing for money NOT for your car...I beleive the winner at the PINKS ALL OUT in Texas was $10,000 pus the side bets with money won in eariler rounds..sounds like big time fun to me..run what ya brung and hope you brung enough..you have to run them out the other end ... no sand bagging allowed.. :drive:

They pick a group of cars from a certain ET range on that show. It may be 9.0-9.50 or 11.5-12.0. Depends on the number of cars that run in that range and if they 'like' certain cars for TV. Has nothing t do with who is fastest, if 80% of the cars there run 11.0-11.50 thats who they will pick from for the finals..

I hope they pick the 9.50-9.99 cars ;)

haha we all cant be that fast...even though we want to be. Im hoping they go wiht the 11.5 to 12 sec cars....cause thats what im in :) but regardless it sure will be a good time. hope to see you out there and good luck.

Just go yourself, there will be plenty of people to hang with once you are there. When I was young and single I had the opposite probelm, I couldnt find a girl that wanted anything to do with drag racing - they werent dumb and knew if you had a race car you were broke :)

I talked to the track people on the phone about tickets since mine will be free(army reservist) and my son is a little kid so hes free. They told me it wont be sold out for spectators and to just get your ticket at the gate. keep in mind it is easter weekend so turnout will be lower than it would be if it wasnt a holiday weekend.

Naw, get there whenever on Saturday and they'll sell you the tickets at the gate. $20 for spectators on Saturday. :)

event was alot of fun. good to see everyone. but damn it was cold.

Some nice cars out there, a Chevrolet powered :) mustang won the event.

Too damn cold out there today. My favorite parts was rich christianson almost geting :owned: by the mustang thats wheel flew off on the launch and the car almost slip into rich.

Well that would suck for Rich if he got hit by a drag car, but can't say it couldn't happen b/c of where he is standing before the launch.
But thats how the man makes his money. LOL. Guess its worth the risk of getting hit by a car.

10.50 was the class they picked, after watching most of the cars Friday I knew thats what they were going to pick - there was a ton of cars running that. They almost picked 9.60s.

It was a lot of fun, they ran the thing pretty well, I would do it again. It was pretty crowded for the weather and easter weekend. I ran pretty well (9.20s) and there was a ton of fast LS1 cars there. As long as you go in knowing its a TV show and not a fastest XX car event you will have some fun. There were some very cool sleepers, lots of nice race cars and a mix of good running street cars. It was pretty much a race-car car show that you had a chance of getting on TV and winning 10K, hard to beat for a 30.00 entry - even got a free Pinks t-shirt :)

embarrased myself by running a 16.1 by not turning my bottle on for the first time in 3 years. chocked the thing out with gasoline.

redeemed myself by running the best it's ever felt when rich did his arm drop race.

i didnt think it was as organized as it could have been. maybe dedicated lanes for tech numbers instead of calling them over the PA, i coudlnt understand what they were saying over the thing unless you were right by the speaker.

overall, i had a great time..if it's ever close enough again, i would def. go.

If you have ever been to any big drag racing events it seemed well organized, its hard to organize 350+ cars. Especially in a huge facility like that, I had no problem with it and it went smoother then I expected.

People needed to figure out there were 8 staging lanes and not just two, they should have had someone working the lanes but thats the tracks deal, not the pink's staff. They had a radio station that broadcased the track PA but I could hear the PA where I was. I think they did a decent job considering the weather, there was a few major oildowns and they did a good job of cleaning them up and the track worked pretty well for as cold as it was..

yeah, but when you got away from the tower enough, it went away. esp down near where the tech guys were at. the radio station did make it a lot better, but i just happened to find it by chance when i was searching for music in the staging lanes lol but i had a great time and i would love to go to another pinks event

Yea I had a good time. I had some problems with the car. It really did suck bc I could only get the car to run a best of 10.76...I was so close to the 10.5 range. Oh well, it was fun anyways but cold!

Yea, he posted in the drag racing results forum. I should have slowed mine down more to the 9.50-9.60 range, they said they almost picked the 9.60 class. I did see your truck make a 9.90 pass on saturday morning though and it looked great. I really didnt run as well as I thought I would in the cold weather but the car was dead cold both times and that didnt help along with the wind. The 'arm drop' pass would hae been my best I think but who knows :)

I was originally running the 10.5 class, but finally got the new setup working correctly, and it went faster than expected on a 150 hit....
