Default 1" SS spoiler

Hey guys I have a question. I have a 2000 SS and am needing a spoiler and have heard about a SS spoiler that has an 1inch lip or is raised 1 inch. My question is does this spoiler exist and if so where can i get it? Thanks in advance

Well thats not an SLP one, sounds like some aftermarket one and those ALL fit like crap. Stick with the OEM SLP wing.

Peace,
Craig.

hood? ok, now im confused.

as far as the 1" SS spoiler, maybe its the 93-97 ss spoiler, its not as high as the 98-02 one. SLPonline has them on sale now for like $150, if you like it, go for it.

I believe the spoiler you are referring to is made by American Sports Car Design (ASCD) and the lip is 1" taller than the stock SS spoiler. There is also another spoiler made by Mecham called the Z29 spoiler that looks like the 93-97 SS spoilers and is also 1" taller. Try to search for them.

Below is a link to a good thread about this very same subject. The mecham spoiler's lip is more noticable and looks great. As I said above it is modeled after the 96-97 SS spoilers but with the taller lip. I don't know about the ASCD spoiler but people say it is also taller, you can't really tell all that much from their pictures. Too bad there isn't a 98-02 style SS spoiler with the higher lip.

So from what i've read so far no one makes a 98+ model ss wing with the 1 inch lip I like the 2 support post in the middle of the 98+ss wing. So i may just go with factory 98+ wing cause i need one bad as my car has the wings west double decker rite now. I think i'll go with oem if i get one so whats a good price for one? Thanks

Usually they go for anywhere from $300 - $400 plus shipping used. I don't know what they go for new.
