Default wheels on an '81 el camino

ive got some 15" boyd coddingtons on my '81 el camino, and im looking for a change. im going to try to get some american racing torq thrust 2's, 17 x 9.5 front wiht 275 tires and 17x11's rear with 315s. im not sure if they will fit, im pretty sure if i get the correct backspacing tho, they might. there's tons of room under the wheelwells that needs to be filled. any thought from anyone? anyone tried it?

haha goot luck with getting anyhelp on this site. most here dont really know much about backspacing and fiting wheels. most wheel combos on here have been tried a true so there is no need for them to measure.

but i dont know about the room of the el camino but the 17 x11 will look good just not sure if you car has enough room. your gonna have to measure the max BS so you dont have inner rubbing and you have to make sure they will still clear the outer fender.

yea i guess i need to quit being lazy, get out a tape measurer, and do some calculations... ive always wanted a vehicle with a 17x9.5/17x11 combo and i plan on keeping this car for a while, so i thought it would be worth a shot. thanks for the reply tho.
