Default Coolant Sensor adapter... what size?

I've read that there is a bolt on the passenger side rear of the block to take out for a gauge sensor, but I couldn't find what size adapter I'm going to need other than it's one of the metric ones. Anyone know what size for sure I need to get? I'm hoping that I can do this w/ only losing a little coolant out the hole while I switch the bolt for the adapter and sensor. Am I on crack? and what size is that bolt? I'm using autometer gauges and I know they make and adapter, I just need to know which one.

Yep, you can change it with the motor full of coolant. I did it and only lost a couple ounces. Just make sure to release the pressure from the radiator cap first or it could be a lot bigger of a loss .
