Default Oil pressure Sensor Broke...

yeah anyway to get this POS out and replace it? plastic POS sheered flush with the block. Any one have this happen

Common with people swapping Intake manifolds... Not hard to replace, sensor itself is about 20 bucks.

i removed my valley cover and got a wrench on it.

THere is a socket that is made for it i got mine from kragen and i dont remember the size but you could search for my head install i explain what size it was etc... Good luck, welcome to the club

Found it for you on the last page i think there is a picture of the socket that you need if you dont want to take the valley cover off. Also there should be the size of the socket floating arround there somewhere. Good luck

broke mine too. had to drive an hour away to find a parts store that had one. i was not real happy that day.

Just do a search. Even if you search within my post history, you'll find the autozone part number for the socket that you'll need to replace it. Unless you're like copcar and remove the valleycover. Easy beans man.

i also broke mine on a 2000 trans am. I bought one off here form someone. and when i got home i screwed it in and tried to plug the wiring plug in. Well it was a no go. apparntly i bought one for a vette which is small campared to the one i needed with a different hole for the wiring harrnes. which is huge and caste 58 bucks

just out of curiosity, but why does everyone break these? I removed and replaced -=Modified=-'s intake w/ his h/c swap, and we never got close to even nudging it... I can see when you're reinstalling the intake, it got stuck on an intake port, then kicked back...
