Take a look at the chart above. You can see the F1A uses the same inlet and outlet diameters as the P-1SC-1 and the D-1SC. Max rpm is 12,000 rpm higher than the D-1SC, at 74,000 rpm! This blower has the potential to scream! Bob

You would need to have forged rods and pistons, a machined block, good rings, ARP head studs, and a completely redone fuel system such as the one we installed on this Trans-Am.

How much better is the F1A over the D1SC? I am having Texas Speed install a D on my 395 and was wandering if it should be upgraded to a F1A?

The F1A is capable of making a lot more boost than the D-1SC. If you have a built engine with a forged bottom end, then the F-1A is the blower I would recommend for you, provided you are looking into making more than 16 psi of boost. Bob
