P.T.V. Clearance on a LS1. Am I pushing it?
I have a LS1 with a stock bottem end. I'm putting LS6 heads that will be ported and polished only, stock valves and no milling done. Plus a TSP Torquer V2, rocking a set of Crane Cam shaft mount roller rockers 1.7:1. I ordered a pair of Cometic .040 head gaskets. Am I safe, or will I need to have the pistons flycut? I know im safe with stock GM gaskets which I have, but I am always looking for more.

the .040 gasket takes away ptv but you should be okay. be careful though because aftermarket rockers are true ratio while stock have a tendency to not always be accurate.
