Default Volant CAI anygood?

I saw a pic of a volant cai in a TA and camaro and it looked pretty damn sweet, but it rarely seen only on here with it. I was wondering if it's anygood or am I better off with an aftermarket air lid?

If you have a ram air hood (ws6, firehawk, or ultra z hood) than it would be helpful. If not than the volant wouldnt be anymore effective than a lid unless you get a k/n fipk.

I had one on my last LS1 car. It was good but not worth the added cost over a lid in my opinion. I just ordered an MTI lid and K&N filter for my latest LS1 car.

I like mine fwiw. I installed this along with debaffling the hood and ditching the honeycomb inserts for the BG corners.
