Default best 1/4 mile gear ratio 9in and a T56

I have a 01 Fbody M6, and im about to purchase a 9in. I will be running a 28in MT et street, and i was wondering if anyone had a calculator site or somthing that would help me figure out the best gear ratio for my set up. Thanks George .

I'm a fan of 3.90s on stock rim height. With 28s I would be looking into 4.10s or maybe 56s depending on the setup.

Well I was wondering if anyone had any luck with the 4.56 gears in there cars? But i was talking to someone who had 28inch tire with 4.56 and a M6 and trapped about 142. But he can take his engine up to 8100rpm i think i will be around the 7k range

What ever will have you trapping at peak power RPMs is what you want to have. The worst is shifting right before the end...

I shaved about 3tenths by going from 4.10's to 4.56's with 28" tires. That was for a bolt-on car, the 4.56's made the launch a LOT better.
