Default Tranny Help!!

my tranny is slipping and it looks like i'll be needing a rebuild. i have no idea how much im looking at spending on one. but i'd like to have a little better then stock. anyone know of any shops around the dfw area or somewhere remotely close that does good work? and how much am i looking at spending?? mods in sig. the car has 102k on it. 4l60e.

700 is normal for the kind of rebuild I think you are looking for.

thats labor and consumable parts. If you smoked a drum then you'll need to buy a drum which isnt a consumable part.

lol i could drive it but that's a ways. the tranny isn't totally shot yet...just slips often

I'm not sure about prices, but from what I know they're priced low and do great work.

ya I know he mostly works on 6spds. but im sure he does some autos too?

frank at CPT built mine, not local but its been in the 10 for a while with 1.5 60' and about 15k hard street miles on it...not a problem...
his performance rebuild is 800. race rebuild that i have is 1000

Waiting for completion of a Stage 2 upgrade from Lethal with a tune looking around $1,914! Good guys though.

Give Trent Palmer with Specialty Transmission in Duncanville, Texas a call. He rebuilt my 4L and I've had over 500 passes without any trouble!! Low 11-Second car too until this year. I'm about to hit him up just for a refresher, since I will be running 10s this year!! Runs $1200 and carries a warranty unless YOU burn it up!!

BUrning em up is usually what happens to them in the first place. Nice warranty..LMAO
