is there anyway to turn off an air bag light, other than taking it to the dealer???

I just took the clear cover off of the instrument panel cluster and put a perfectly cut out square of black electrical tape over the airbag light area on the panel. If you go into the back of the panel and start breaking out (they are soldered into the board) the L.E.D.s for the airbag, another one will keep lighting up (Service Vehicle Soon) as a fail safe. Someone once said you can break out the LED and then "jump" the connection by soldering a proper guage wire across the gap, but I did not want to risk this "fix" by having to tear open the whole IP.
