Default Tranny slipping?

So i was driving around in 3 gear today and a mustang wanted to have a go so i got on it, i looked down and i was doing about 80-85 miles an hour and the tach was on red line, is the trans slipping any suggestions or is this normak??

sounds like the 3-4 clutch is going

So took it out and data loged the car....about 2000rpm of slippage in the top of third....so upped the line pressure and it seems to be holding for now...gonna put a shift kit in it and a 3-4 clutch pack and hope it holds cause i cant afford a new trans right now...thanks for the help...
