Default 5.3 heads for cammed 98 ls1

Okay, looking for some quick help. If got a set of 5.3 heads, any performance gains ove 806's? And if so, why? What's different? I know nothing of the 5.3 heads. Also, If good choice for cheap, then are they different sizes? Do i need new pushrods? Different anything else?

I think the main thing is your gonna pick up compression over your existing heads. I don't know about your casting(806) but the 5.3 casting has the same runner as the 241's on the later camaros.

The only way a 862 casting (4.8/5.3) will be beneficial is if it is fully ported with bigger valves.
otherwise it is the opposite, you'll loose power.
