Are Delco Stands safe?
So i bought a set of four 3-ton ac delco jack stands. They looked pretty cool at the store and i was excited.

I get home and realize that the tops of the stands are pretty wobbly. The bases are sturdy but the part the car sits on wiggles. Also, i dont like the notch mechanism, it seems that if something bumps the lever upwards, the car will drop.
I am just a bit skeptikal because before i used a set i had burrowed from my uncle, they were old school but very sturdy and you had to slide something through some holes to lock them in place so they were a bit more assuring.
Am i good with using the delcos?

Yeah, those stands are the kind I've been using for ages. They are a lot more convenient then the ol' pin in the hole stands when it comes to getting a more precise height.

I use a similiar pair like the AC's on the rear end of my car on the axle tubes. I have a different pair I use that are wide and flat under my front subframes. I rock the car back and forth to test if they are properly centered before I go under the car. Hope this helps.

i almost bought a set of those, but i decided to get some at sears.
and like said, once the weight of the car is on the stand theres no way your gonna get it to go down

their safe, i've used them before. When I bought jackstand I bought the biggest ***** I could find. They're like 12 ton MAC's that must weight over 30lbs a piece. They have a minimum height of ~12 inches. I really wanted something I wouldn't have to worry about...
