Safe to run dual electric cut outs right after headers?
Want to get an electric cut out or two but need some more knowledge. Would it be safe to run dual electric cutouts (QTP) right after the headers or will it being there right after the header be too hot and burnout or damage the electric motors. I dont want to be stuck with open electric cut outs and be driving around with open headers. I know its bad *** having open headers and would think you gain the most power there.
Or should I do a single electric cut out in the I pipe and call it a day?? My car will have high flow cats on it and im thinking its gona sound like *** having it in the I pipe. Not so sure.

Let me know if you guys have had them get damaged being right after the headers

Your car sound good in the second video when you drive away. I do plan on swaping a cam and upgrading the valve train in the future. I actually am saving for that right now but i obviously need to upgrade to headers and y pipe before i do that and thats what i am doing right now.

Don't know how much truth there is to this statement but someone told me
" If the cutouts are too close to the O2's the O2's may get some false reading occasionally on crusing and decel."
But I still plan on putting my dual electric cutouts right off the headers as well, in the very near future.

FWIW, I lost a car in a fire because the exhaust gases at the collector flange were
hot enough to catch my carpet on fire. (Was running open headers)
Being in a burning car with Ttops dripping down next to you at 90mph on a major interstate is no fun at all.
Cutouts fit real nice just ahead of or behind the rear axle.
It's much safer

I have dual cut out right after the headers and it sounds bad as hell. People about **** themselves when I roll by with them opened.
I'm going back to a single onder the Rr seat. The Y pipe does not fit my TQ arm very well.
